Denise Temple BSc, LPN, CLC, NLP
Founder & CEO
I grew up in a small seaside town in Nova Scotia, where community, responsibility, and care for one another were a way of life. Those early values continue to guide how I lead Ascent Home Care, with compassion, clarity, and steady resolve.
My professional background includes over 16 years in hospital and home care nursing, five years teaching health care programs at Bow Valley College. I am currently pursuing a masters in dementia care. This foundation allows me to lead with clinical understanding, strong standards, and a deep respect for the families who place their trust in us.
At Ascent, I am committed to building a care model that supports both families and caregivers with transparency, consistency, and genuine presence, ensuring care feels reliable, personal, and human.
At home, I’m grounded by my two British Shorthair cats, who remind me daily what “home” should feel like—safe, warm, and connected.
Marianny Moran MD
Director of Client Care
I am a Venezuelan-trained General Surgeon and General Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience, along with a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from McMaster University. My work is grounded in evidence-based care and a deep respect for the people and families I serve.
Since moving to Canada, I have worked across home care, nursing homes, and retirement communities. These experiences have reinforced my belief that high-quality care is not only about clinical skill, but about presence, communication, and truly understanding what families are navigating behind the scenes.
I am family-oriented at heart and bring compassion, integrity, and steady leadership into every role I take on. Supporting care teams, honoring patient dignity, and helping families feel informed and reassured during vulnerable moments are central to how I lead and practice.
